Ubtan is an Ayurvedic pure cosmetic cleanser which keeps skin’s hydro lipid
barrier in balance. Unlike harsh facial cleansers, Ubtan powder doesn’t wash
off the skin’s natural sebum, playing an important role as the skin’s
protective barrier.

We prepare our Ubtan with our own live raw powders — pine, sunflower, pumpkin
and walnut — which act as natural powerful cleansers that don’t dry the skin
but instead gently exfoliate and wash off the impurities while supplying with
vitamins and minerals at the same time.

Organic Shikaii powder, commonly referred to in Ayurveda as a healing fruit
for the skin and hair, has a calming and soothing effect due to its potent
medicinal properties. Being a potent anti-bacterial powder, shikakai is quite
effective in treating various skin infections and reduces signs of aging.

Organic Amla powder is highly regarded as a medicinal Ayurveda plant packed
with antioxidant and brightening properties. Some studies prove Amla can help
fade hyperpigmentation, slow down skin aging and encourage the production of
collagen due to high amounts of vitamin C and amino acids. This superfood for
your skin can contribute to a glowing complexion.

Organic Ashwagandha is one of the ancient Indian medicines known as “Indian
Ginseng.” This powder is popular for its healing effects. We use ashwagandha
roots in our Ubtan wash for both the antibacterial and antimicrobal properties
which protect the skin from infections and acne. It also helps heal pimples and
blackheads, while improving skin tone and reducing inflammation.

Organic Sandalwood powder has been praised in Ayurvedic texts and traditional
Chinese medicine as the skin’s natural medicine and there is plenty of
scientific evidence to support this. It’s key ingredient is alpha-santalol
which is known for healing serious skin conditions such as eczema and
psoriasis. It is also the main component that takes part in the synthesis of
melanin and can protect the skin from UV light. We use organic sandalwood
powder to ensure our Ubtan is filled with natural antiseptic properties and
high natural antioxidants that can help prevent wrinkles by fighting free
radical formation.

We combine the organic healing flower powders of calendula, chamomile and
lavender to provide a soothing, protective, moisturizing and calming effect to
our Ubtan. As a nutritional addition to the plant ingredients, we add fruit
powders of lingonberries, mullberries and raspberries as those powders will
enhance the potency of vitamins and give your skin a nutritional boost every
time you wash it.

Using clays in cosmetology has been know for centuries and is one of the ways
to supply the skin with minerals naturally. We use kaolin and bentonite clay in
our Ubtan to make sure it absorbs extra oil from the skin’s surface, therefore
keeping pores unclogged by providing a natural cleansing effect, soaking up
acne-causing impurities and giving the skin that ultimate glow!

How to Use:

We recommend our Ubtan Powder to be used in the shower. Mix a tbsp of Ubtan
with water or our hydrosol of choice either in your palm or a small cup until a
paste forms. Apply this mixture all over the face gently massaging it in
circular motions. If desired, leave it on as a mask no longer than 2 minutes.
Do not let it dry to avoid drying the skin since clays are used in this
mixture. If you wish to leave it on for a longer time to create a deeper mask
effect, keep spraying hydrosol to keep skin moist. Rinse with warm water. Steps
may be repeated for deeper cleansing as well. Close the cap of the Ubtan bottle
promptly after using to avoid spoiling. Enjoy!
