I have recently loved how my straight, brittle hair feels when I just put in
some nourishing oil instead of mousse or gel. Having straight & dry hair I need
all the extra moisturization I can get and this has really been doing wonders
for the health of my hair! This oil is full of intensely nourishing, vitamin
and mineral packed oils that promote healthy, strong and gorgeous locks! Let me
tell you what is inside!
Ghee contains vitamin A which keeps the hair healthy and vitamin D that helps
fight hair loss. Not only that, ghee also has fatty acids, which can simply do
wonders to your hair. Being a rich source of healthy fats and some essential
vitamins and minerals, it helps to treat hair problems quickly. Ghee acts as a
deep conditioner for your hair. When used regularly, the high amount of vitamin
E helps hair get smoother and softer, while conditioning your hair and scalp.
Ghee is oily in texture, and thereby works to improve the quality of your hair
as it improves hair texture, and nourishes it with extra smoothness and shine.
Jojoba oil is light, impermeable, and sits on the surface of the hair shaft.
Because of this, it’s perfect for sealing in moisture when your hair and scalp
are still damp after washing. As a natural wax, jojoba sits on the outer
surface to help protect the hair from dryness and breakage. Jojoba oil is rich
in many vitamins and minerals like B vitamins, C & E, as well as copper and
zinc, making it amazing for strengthening our locks, promoting thickness and
regrowth, and aiding in preventing hair loss.
Avocado oil is a potent dynamo of omega-rich oils and antioxidants for healthy
hair. Avocados are rich in antioxidants, biotin, minerals, essential fatty
acids as well as vitamins A, B-5, and E, which all help to seal the cuticle of
the hair and prevent breakage. Studies have found that minerals in avocado oil,
including potassium and magnesium, may seal cuticle cells, which can help hair
look smooth and shiny.
Carrot Seed Oil is amazing for hair growth as it helps to strengthen dry,
damaged strands, moisturizing the scalp and shafts for healthier hair growth.
This oil is extracted from the seeds of the flowering plant, known for its
white blossoms and carrot-scented roots, is also called wild carrot and Queen
Anne’s lace. Full of other vitamins and essential fatty acids and minerals,
this lightly scented oil also reduces dandruff and encourages hair growth.
Jamaican Black Castor oil is good for plenty of general remedies, but one of
the areas where its healing and restorative properties particularly shine
through is in your hair. Whether you’re looking to maintain generally healthy
hair or you have a history of unruly, damaged hair, Jamaican black castor oil
can provide the nourishment and healing powers your hair needs. This oil
contains vitamin E, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids that can both do wonders
for thin and easily breakable hair. These acids will nourish the scalp and
strengthen the hair roots as well as improve blood flow to the scalp, which in
turn encourages new hair growth, helping to treat thinning hair.
Marshmallow Root is great for soothing and relieving your scalp and hair but
it’s also super slippery so it’s great for moisturization and detangling! Slip
is the slipperiness of a product and of course the more slip the better as it
will help remove tangles, knots and your hair from coiling around itself,
especially if you have curly hair like me! It is super rich in proteins and
vitamins which help to make your hair appear thicker and could potentially aid
in hair growth.
Lavender oil benefits hair in so many ways. It has antimicrobial properties,
which helps to prevent bacteria and fungi growing. This can be particularly
helpful if you have a sensitive scalp, as it helps to prevent itchiness and
dandruff. It also helps to increase circulation to hair follicles, encouraging
your hair to grow thicker and faster than normal. Lavender is known for its
ability to moisturize hair while leaving it silky soft and smooth.
Sage not only helps prevent hair loss, but it also rejuvenates and strengthens
the hair follicles. The use of sage can also boost blood circulation in the
scalp, increasing the supply of nutrients to the hair follicles. Since ancient
times, sage has been highly popular for making the hair strong and preventing
hair loss. It can help improve hair texture, making it soft and manageable. The
addition of sage in hair oil can penetrate the hair and work from the inside.
Sandalwood oil was used previously in Ayurvedic & Chinese medicine to treat
mental health, hair and skin conditions, wounds, and leprosy. Sandalwood oil is
collected from the heartwood of the tree and possesses a unique, gentle, warm,
velvety and milky prized wood-scent. Sandalwood oil is highly valuable in
treating hair problems like dandruff and prevents hair fall. The strong
astringent property of sandalwood oil is effective in warding off the excess
sebum (oil) secretion in the scalp, treats split ends and enhance the hair
shine and growth.
Rose is valued in skincare and haircare for its antibacterial,
anti-inflammatory, and emollient properties, in addition to being rich in
antioxidants like vitamin C, vitamin A, and linoleic acid. While it doesn’t
actively help hair grow, rose oil supports existing hair and new growth in
staying healthy and avoiding fallout or breakage.
Cedarwood oil is thought to promote hair growth and reduce hair loss by
balancing the oil-producing glands in the scalp. It also has antifungal and
antibacterial properties, which can treat different conditions that may
contribute to dandruff or hair loss.
How to use:
This is perfect when used after the shower before you style and dry your hair.
I like to even mix it with my curl cream for added moisture but I've found it
can be used alone without any added curl product! Simply add as much as
desired, I use a whole dropper full and massage both my scalp and my hair
follicles fully. Style and dry as desired! This can also be used on dry hair in
small amounts to keep your curls light and soft throughout the day!
If you have straight, thin or oily hair types, I suggest only using while wet,
before style & dry as this could make your hair oily but I am not 100% certain
of that outcome as I do not have that hair type!
I hand blend all of my creations with intention and love, infusing every
product with the finest natural ingredients straight from mother earth, using
the highest quality plant extracted oils.
Majority of the plants I use are hand grown in my own home garden.
