CHOOSE A FILLER
WHY USE FLAXSEED AS A FILLER?
The actual seed of flax contains 30 – 40% of an oil
known as Flaxseed Oil. This oil remains inside the seed.
When the seeds are heated, the soft shell of the seed
allows for moisture to be absorbed. As the seeds cool,
moist heat is released. Flaxseeds' unique thermal and
oil content allows them to heat quickly and retain heat for 30 -45 min, making
it an ideal natural heating product.
Flaxseed offers a moist heat relief.
WHY USE RICE AND FLAXSEED TOGETHER AS A FILLER?
For a heavier pack, we offer a combination of flaxseed and rice.
We use organic white rice to provide a soothing moisturizing effect.
Rice, like flaxseed, also provides moist heat.
Our customer feedback has shown that moist heat has proven beneficial
WHY CORN?
All-natural Therapeutic Corn Bags are made with 100% cotton and generously
filled with quality, multi-washed, food-grade, whole corn. Corn has a large
surface area, so when a corn bag is filled, the added weight it provides helps
penetrate those hard-to-reach pained areas. It also provides moist heat and
freezes well. Corn is heavier than the rice/flax mix.
WILL THE CORN POP IN THE MICROWAVE?
The corn we use is re-washed whole corn. It is not the same as corn used for
popcorn. Occasionally you may have a kernel pop, but this is normal.
Just remove the corn bag, mix or adjust ingredients and return to microwave
for desired warmth.
