Here is a lovely and rare find...an early 20th century aluminum hair brush and
comb set still in the original cardboard and cloth presentation box. I
purchased this piece out of an estate over 35 years ago.
The brush have an ornate aluminum repousse' top with floral designs and fancy
scroll work. Bristles are clean and appear to have never been used. The comb,
made of a tortoiseshell colored celluloid has a fancy aluminum top as well.
There are two end teeth of the comb that have broken off over time. One is
still in the box and can possibly be glued back on but the other is long gone.
There is also a little bit of wear to the very center of the brush . Might
have been a sticky tag there once upon a time...
This vanity set is still in its original cardboard and cloth presentation box
from the turn of the 20th century. This set is over 100 years old. Great
addition to any collection.
