Each bag is generously filled with whole flax seeds, offering gentle pressure
(acupressure) to areas of the body that would benefit most therapeutically.
These bags are the perfect size for relieving neck or shoulder pain, lower
back, spine, abdomen, or pelvic discomforts. They're also great to use during
pregnancy, and truly so much more. They simply soothe your soul!!

My large therapy bags are divided into 3 separate sections, allowing for even
and pliable distribution of flax seed. It can easily be folded in half and
placed in the microwave (for heat therapy) OR placed in a large zip-lock bag
and stored in the freezer (for cold therapy).

Our sense of smell is as primitive as life itself, as is every breath we take.
Aromas trigger an emotional response and/or a memory from past experiences-
both unique to each of us. I have selected a variety of essential oils that are
known to promote well-being (Lavender, Rosemary, Peppermint, Sweet Orange,
Lemon Eucalyptus, Wintergreen, Spearmint ). If you are sensitive to smells, I
am happy to make you an unscented bag.

After experimenting with several fillers, I have discovered that using whole
flax seed works best for a few reasons. Flax is much more durable and pliable,
allowing you to mold the bag easily to any body part. Because of the seeds
outer, protective shell (hull), it doesn't emit the “musty” odor that rice and
other dry products do over time. The seeds also stay warmer/colder longer.
However, they are not machine washable. To keep your bag clean, use on clean,
dry skin. Do not use on open wounds. Store in a ziplock bag while not in use. I
keep mine in my freezer - it's wonderful !

Heat and Cold therapies have been used medicinally for centuries. While both
evoke a specific result physiologically, I find that the choice of heat or cold
to what ails you is quite personal. For example; a headache may be comforted
for some by using a cold pack, while others prefer heat. Do remember that any
serious injury or illness must be evaluated by a professional health care
provider. Know and listen to your body.
