Lilac Enfleurage is a natural process of making slow perfume. Popularized in
18th century in the region of Grasse, France this method of hand pressing
individual lilac flowers into cold coconut oil is an intensive labor of love.
Only a handful of artisans still use this practice today. This process is vital
to capturing the delicate scent of lilac flowers, which is otherwise destroyed
by heat or solvents.
The process is repeated 3-5 times over the course of 2 weeks, and this
generous size container will last you until next lilac season arrives.
This organic pommade is a subtle creation, meaning it needs time to warm up on
your skin before releasing its final scent. Noticeably different than your
traditional synthetic fragrances, this scent won't give you a perfume headache
and isn't strong on the nose. It contains no essential oils or synthetic
aromatic substances. It's scent is fleeting just like lilac season itself, only
your closest companions will be able to enjoy your delicate scent.
Note: Please store in a cool dry place away from heat and sunlight. If arrives
in a softened state, resolidify in a cold room or refrigerator. Scent lasts on
skin around 30 minutes, changing as it warms. A small percentage of people may
be anosmic to this pommade.
