Hydrosols or floral waters are commonly used as skin toners, fresheners, body

in clay facial masks, and in place of water in most formulations of creams, and
lotions.

WHAT IS A HYDROSOL?

When plant matter is steam distilled, hydrosols are produced.

Hydrosols contain all of the water-soluble chemical constituents of the
distilled plant matter.

Hydrosols can be seen as micro-doses of essential oils, but unlike essential
oils, they have no precautions, when applied to the skin.

(Some people recommend internal consumption of hydrosols, but we do not,
because each hydrosol has different internal precautions, when used as drinking
water.
For example, if you are pregnant, or under medical care, drinking hydrosols
can be hazardous.
However, topical applications are never hazardous.)
