***EGYPTIAN BLUE LOTUS FLOWER BENEFITS ***

The Blue Lotus Flower is better known as the Blue Egyptian Lotus, Blue Water
Lily, and even the Sacred Blue Lily. All these names refer to a plant named the
Nymphaea Caerulea that carries psychoactive benefits. It has been used in
Egyptian medication and remedies for thousands of years as a calming potion,
sleep aid, and natural aphrodisiac.

Today, the dried flowers from this plant are either steeped in tea or smoked
to achieve a peaceful state of relaxation. It is an ideal tool for sedation
after a tough day at work or perhaps an emotionally taxing episode too! This
species of water lily predominantly grows in Egypt and a few parts of Asia that
include India. It is a cultural symbol in Egypt as its illustrations are found
on ancient papyrus scrolls and also on the tomb walls.

***BLUE BUTTERFLY PEA FLOWER BENEFITS ***
Vividly deep blue, with a solitary hint and marked with light yellow color,
the blue butterfly flower is a treat to the eyes. It is also known as Asian
pigeonwings, butterfly pea, Kordofan pea, and Darwin pea, and botanically named
Clitoriaternatea. It is native to equatorial Asia. Often grown as an ornamental
plant, the blue butterfly plant requires little care when cultivated. The
bright blow color of the butterfly pea has been used as a coloring agent in
food. It comes with a host of health benefits. It has also been used in
traditional Ayurvedic medicine to treat various ailments. Conventional Chinese
medicine ascribes different healing qualities to blue butterfly pea. The most
common form of consumption of the blue butterfly pea is making tea from
ternatea flowers.

1. Boosts brain health
Good brain health is dependent on the communication levels of the brain. Blue
butterfly pea contains Acetylcholine, and its consumption can increase the
levels of Acetylcholine in the brain. Acetylcholine decreases with progress in
age, causing loss of memory and other problems. Consumption of blue butterfly
pea can reverse this process and improve thinking abilities.

2. Fights against cancers
The blue butterfly pea can fight against cancers by penetrating the cancer
cell membranes and inhibiting their growth. The blue butterfly pea plant is one
of those few plants that contain cyclotides, which have peptides with
anti-tumour benefits.

3. Treats internal inflammation
Consumption of blue butterfly pea tea helps in treating internal inflammation
and swelling of the body. It can also provide relief from general pains like
headaches.

4. Helps in conjunctivitis
The blue butterfly pea plant roots are used to cure many eye ailments,
especially in Southeast Asia. The beautiful flowers of the blue butterfly pea
are used to treat eye infections like ‘pink eye’ or conjunctivitis.

5. Lowers blood pressure
Patients who suffer from high blood pressure or hypertension can take the blue
butterfly pea tea to control the same.

6. Good for skin
Blue butterfly pea is full of antioxidants and has properties that reverse the
damage caused to the skin by sugar molecules. Sugar molecules cause skin aging
due to the process of Glycation, which causes damage to skin proteins. Blue
butterfly pea tea has anti-Glycation and can prevent premature aging.

7. Used for hair
The blue butterfly pea plant comes as an ingredient in many shampoos and
conditioners. It has properties that nourish hair follicles, promote hair
growth, prevent greying of hair, and reduce hair fall.

8. Helps in digestion
The antioxidants present in blue butterfly pea tea can relax the stomach
muscles and make the digestive process easier and faster.

9. Acts as an antidepressant
The vivid, bright blue color of the blue butterfly pea tea can help people
suffering from depression.

10. Helps in pregnancy
The blue butterfly pea plant derives its botanical name from its resemblance
to the female genitals, the clitoris. It is believed to help in conception, and
much like chamomile and green teas, it provides a healthy alternative to
caffeine during pregnancy.

11. Helps in diabetes
Blue butterfly pea has the fantastic property of controlling the absorption of
sugar into the bloodstream. Hence the plant is often used to treat diabetic
patients.

*** ROSE BENEFITS***
Wake up and smell the roses! Literally. We're saying to opt for roses on your
face instead of roses in your vase because they can bring numerous benefits to
the skin. More specifically, rose water, a combination of filtered water and
rose oil found in the petals, rose hip oil and rose essential oil can provide
soothing and anti-inflammatory benefits to the skin. Whether in the form of a
cleanser, toner, moisturizer or serum, this ingredient can be equally
beneficial to all skin types.

Benefit 1: Antioxidant Powerhouse
This is one of the major benefits that roses and rose water can bring to the
skin. We all know that antioxidants are good for the skin, and the ones found
in roses are no exception. These particular antioxidants help to strengthen
skin cells, which in turn, can help regenerate skin tissues.1 On top of this,
the antioxidants in roses work to neutralize free radicals, which can provide
anti-aging benefits to the skin as well.

Benefit 2: Healing Hydrator
While roses are great for all skin types, it is especially great for dry skin
due to its extremely moisturizing properties that can help to soothe
itchiness.2 Roses used in the form of an essential oil can also be a great way
to moisturize the skin, while protecting it from moisture loss and keeping the
moisture barrier strong.3 Even for those who do not suffer from dry skin, the
hydration that roses provide can be extremely beneficial, as it helps to
balance the hydration in the skin.3

Benefit 3: Wrinkle Eraser
Besides being filled with antioxidants, rose water and rose oils are also
packed with vitamin A and C, which can help with aging skins. Apart from
smoothing the appearance of wrinkles, these vitamins help to reduce the look of
age spots on the skin and aid with collagen production. While rose essential
oil and rose water are both derived from rose petals, rose hip seed oil is
actually from the small fruits that appear on the rose plants, which are a
natural source of retinol.3

Benefit 4: Redness Soother
As previously mentioned, this romantic ingredient has tons of
anti-inflammatory benefits, which can help reduce the appearance of redness on
the skin. Part of its moisturizing properties also aid in soothing redness and
irritation in the skin, as well.2 Back to rose hip oil, apart from being great
for anti-aging, the combination of antioxidants and fatty acids in rose hip oil
make it beneficial for soothing skin inflammation, including eczema.

Benefit 5: Oil Reducer
When it comes to moisturizing the skin, rose water helps to balance out
moisture, meaning it can help to control excess oil production.1 With this
ingredient being so deeply hydrating, it increases water content in the skin as
opposed to the level of oils; there are also astringent properties in roses
that help to lift dirt and oil from the skin to help it maintain its natural pH
balance.
